Supervisor for our store on Rosenlundsgatan, Gothenburg

Erikshjälpen is now looking for a Supervisor for our store on Rosenlundsgatan. If you want to contribute to realizing children's rights by working operationally and leading the daily work, this is the role for you. Welcome with your application!

Erikshjälpen is a child rights organisation with a non-profit second-hand business. We work in about 100 projects in 16 countries and we run around 50 stores within Erikshjälpen Second Hand in Sweden and Norway. We work according to the vision; A changed world where children's dreams come to life. Our mission is to fight poverty and vulnerability by realizing children's rights, worldwide.

Description of the project

As a supervisor, you are operational and manage the daily work of the store so that established profit, social and environmental targets are met.

Work tasks

Examples of work tasks:

  • As part of the management team, participate in and lead the daily work of the store together with the store staff.
  • You will act as a supervisor for employed staff, volunteers and people carrying out work trials, activities or other employment through government agencies.
  • Within the given area of responsibility, lead, distribute and coordinate the work carried out with the help of employed staff, volunteers and trainees.
  • Ensure that employed staff, volunteers and trainees carry out tasks as assigned.
  • Supervise new staff members and provide them with the necessary training and responsibilities for the tasks.
  • Participate in the follow-up of trainees assigned by the authorities.
  • You are a role model of service and hospitality, aiming to create a memorable experience for our gift givers and customers in a welcoming and fresh store.
  • Together with the Operations Manager, plan, process, develop and ensure that the store achieves the sales and profit targets set.
  • You are responsible, together with the management team, for the sale and display of goods.
  • Joint responsibility for the store during opening hours, will also have store responsibility for opening and closing and every 3rd Saturday according to schedule.
  • You will report to the Head of Operations.

Qualifications

You have

  • relevant work experience in work management
  • experience of meeting people in different life situations and contexts
  • experience in customer meetings and store work, preferably in retail
  • interest in charity and second-hand work
  • shares our core values, which are based on three basic principles: the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the spirit of Erik and a Christian view of humanity.

 

It is an advantage if you have

  • experience working with people with special needs
  • experience and/or knowledge and interest in social media marketing.

  • self-driven, responsible and enjoys working in a goal-oriented way
  • organized and structured
  • a team player with good collaboration skills
