Mattias Ingeson, Secretary General of the Erikshjälpen Foundation, has overall responsibility for the operations, staff, and finances of the children’s rights organization Erikshjälpen. There is no overtime pay. Occupational pension is paid according to collective agreements. The Secretary General is not covered by the Employment Protection Act (LAS). The period of notice is 6 months for the employee and 12 months for the employer.
The Secretary General has overall responsibility for the Erikshjälpen* Foundation and its activities, staff and finances. The Foundation conducts long-term development initiatives in 16 countries, including Sweden, and works with disaster relief and advocacy to protect children's rights. To finance its work, the Erikshjälpen Foundation has its own extensive fundraising efforts.
The Secretary General, Mattias Ingeson, is also chairman of the association Erikshjälpen Second Hand.
He is also responsible for developing relations with partners, donors, organisations, associations, parishes and private individuals who are part of the organizations' large network.

The Secretary-General's salary is financed through both fundraising and other income. The salary is included in our administrative costs. In 2024, 5.0% of our income was spent on administration.
The Board of Governors determines the salary of the Secretary-General. The Chair of the Governing Board, as the immediate superior, is ultimately responsible for the salary review each year.
