Erikshjälpen Framtidsverkstad a meeting place where children, youth and parents have the opportunity to create positive change for themselves and others based on their needs, interests, and dreams. The goal is to level out unequal growing-up conditions.
Together with children, young people, and parents, we aim to create opportunities for personal development, social mobilization, and participation in the development of their own neighborhoods. By strengthening the dreams, motivations, and abilities of the target group, we help build faith in the future. And that enables long-term positive change.
We collaborate with Erikshjälpen Second Hand. In our stores, both young people and parents can make connections, build social networks, and develop the skills needed to meet the demands of the workforce. And in doing so, find their place in the workforce.
The work is also carried out in close collaboration with municipal activities, the business community, and other civil society organizations.
Child participation
In areas where Erikshjälpen Framtidsverkstad operates, many young people feel that the image of their neighborhood and its residents is very negative. They want to help change that. That is why Erikshjälpen Framtidsverkstad has become a platform where young people can make their voices heard by the public and policymakers.
Children's right to education and leisure
Erikshjälpen's interventions Sweden focus on providing children with equal opportunities to grow up – where all children are seen and can participate in society. We promote children's rights through Erikshjälpen Framtidsverkstad activities such as school support and homework help, but also through meaningful and developmental leisure activities such as Football For All Global
The dream project Föräldrakraft
In the “ Föräldrakraft ” project, parents come together in a safe community to share experiences and grow in their parenting roles. The goal is to empower parents so they can support their children as they face challenges at school and in life. During parent meetings, participants not only exchange experiences but also learn more about how society works and how they can support their children.
Föräldrakraft
Erikshjälpen Framtidsverkstad to level out unequal growing-up conditions. All children should have the same opportunities regardless of their background or socioeconomic status. Although this is the law, this is not the case in Sweden today. By working to create more equal growing-up conditions for children in Sweden, we can create a more just and equal society where all children have the same opportunities.
Our work is rights based. This means that we work systematically on the basis of human rights, focusing on rights holder duty bearers. Where rights are not being fulfilled, we do not want to merely alleviate the symptoms, but rather address the root causes of the problems and bring about lasting change.
An important principle is participation, so that those affected by injustice become part of the solution. That is why we ensure that children and parents receive the knowledge and support they need to improve and influence their own lives.
It is also important that the work is lasting and sustainable, which is why we always take a long-term perspective on our interventions.
The work is also carried out in close collaboration with municipal activities, the business community, and other civil society organizations.
All people are influenced by the context they are part of. That is why we work through Erikshjälpen Framtidsverkstad change on several levels – at the individual, family, and community levels.
