This is how many children we reached in 2025

In 2025, we reached 265,776 unique children through our programs—both through our “interventions ” around the world and through Erikshjälpen Framtidsverkstad in Sweden.

Here's how much our customers have saved for the environment

By purchasing 1,138,108 items of clothing from our secondhand stores, our customers have helped save large amounts of chemicals, freshwater, and carbon dioxide*.

Chemicals

1,138,108 kilograms of chemicals. That is equivalent to the weight of 190 African elephants.

Freshwater

2,390,026,800 liters of fresh water, which is equivalent to the annual drinking water needs of 3 million people.

Carbon dioxide

10,250 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions, which is equivalent to 1,700 flights around the world.

*The examples here only address the sale of adult clothing compared to purchasing the same garments brand-new and are based on average figures from the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation. The climate impact of Erikshjälpen Second Hand’s operations has not been factored in.

Internships – A Pathway into the Workforce

Many people today are outside the labor market. That is why Erikshjälpen Second Hand accepts approximately 5,000 people each year for internships, job training, probation, and other interventions in collaboration with municipalities, government agencies, and schools. Participants are given the opportunity for personal development, vocational skills, social networking, and language training. This is part of our social mission.

Our social mission

90% of interns say their internship was valuable

90% of our interns found their internship to be valuable. As of October 2025, Erikshjälpen Second Hand had 5,000 employees, of whom 1,368 were interns or participants in a work training program.
