Our people are our most important resource. Without everyone's work and commitment to working for a better world, our operations would not function. We wouldn't be able to do the work we do for children's rights around the world.

As an employer, Erikshjälpen follows the collective agreements affiliated to FREMIA. Erikshjälpen also cares about work-life balance and therefore offers the following benefits to its employees:
- Wellness allowance of up to Swedish kronor (SEK) 2,000 per employee per year to encourage and support employee wellbeing.
- Good working environment where the organization works preventively and systematically to create a working environment that reduces the risk of occupational injuries and rehabilitation needs.
- Competence development where Erikshjälpen offers annual employee interviews and personal competence development plans. Within the framework of the training concept Erikshjälpen's Academy, collective training is also offered for employees and managers.

We work according to the Convention on the Rights of the Child
We work for children and the world they dream of. That is why our work is based on the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Rights of the Child, with particular reference to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. We recognize the equal and unique value of all individuals, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, beliefs and religion. This forms the basis for how we can build together a world where all people share the same value and rights.
We cherish the spirit of Erik
We cherish our history and the legacy left by Erik Nilsson, the founder of Erikshjälpen. Erik had an eye for the needs of others, even though he himself was seriously ill. Qualities such as humility, empathy, courage and hope are something that recurs in all parts of our work.
We share a Christian view of humanity
Erik Nilsson’s commitment was rooted in the Christian faith, and since Erikshjälpen’s inception, we have maintained close partnerships with Christian organisations congregations, both in our international interventions in our stores. Therefore, a Christian view of humanity is an important part of our identity and our history.
In our work, this is reflected in our shared belief that all people have equal value and the same right to a dignified and fulfilling life, and that we have a shared responsibility to care for our planet in a sustainable way. Erikshjälpen has no formal ties to any Christian denomination, and we also collaborate with organisations other faiths. Erik Nilsson wanted our work to be conducted on a broad basis and not limited by the boundaries of any single denomination. To achieve our vision of a better where children’s dreams come true , all forces for good where children’s dreams come true come together.
