Listening As a Volunteer at Erikshjälpen Second Hand Hand, there are a variety of tasks to choose from and you choose how much time you want to give. It doesn't matter if you contribute a few hours a week or a few days a month - for us you are invaluable.
Our shops are a unique meeting place for many people, where everyone works according to their abilities - through job training, internships or for integration and language training. Everyone is welcome here.

Frequently asked questions and answers
In our stores, we need help with everything from sorting and cleaning to pricing and displaying goods. We need cashiers and café staff who like to sell and provide good service, and we need you who are more than happy to get behind the wheel to pick up or deliver furniture and other goods.
Your time is valuable to us - but of course also to you. As a Volunteer with us, you decide when and how much you work, and together we agree on your working hours. We take your interests and wishes into account.
We are Sweden's leading second-hand chain with around 50 stores around the country and in Norway. The overall purpose of our business is to deliver as much Surplus as possible to aid. In 2022, we donated 89 million Swedish kronor (SEK) in Surplus to the children's rights organization Erikshjälpen and the stores' own partners.
This would never have been possible without all our fantastic volunteers who give of their time. In total, more than 1,800 people are involved as volunteers in our business. We are incredibly proud and grateful for that!
It is not possible to say that there is a typical Volunteer volunteer. Those who get involved are of all ages, with different backgrounds and interests. Some are driven by a burning interest in the environment, others have a general desire to do good. Some want to learn languages, some want to contribute to greater integration in society, others simply enjoy second-hand shopping. No matter who you are, welcome to us!
