Supervisor for our store in Trelleborg 

Erikshjälpen is now looking for a Supervisor for our store in Trelleborg. The position is a permanent position with access by agreement. Erikshjälpen is a child rights organisation with a non-profit second-hand business. We work in about 100 projects in 16 countries and we run around 50 stores within Erikshjälpen Second Hand in Sweden and Norway. We work according to the vision; A changed world where children's dreams come to life. Our mission is to fight poverty and vulnerability by realizing children's rights, worldwide.

Description of the project

We are now expanding our operations in Trelleborg and are therefore hiring another supervisor in the store. As a supervisor, you are operational and lead the daily work in the warehouse and in the store so that established surplus goals, social goals and environmental goals are achieved.

Work tasks

Examples of work tasks:

  • As part of the management team, participate in and lead the daily work of the store together with the store staff.
  • You will act as a supervisor for employees, volunteers and people carrying out work trials, activities or other employment through government agencies.
  • Together with the store management, you will be responsible for receiving gifts and preparing, displaying and selling goods.
  • Jointly responsible for the store during opening hours. Working some weekends and evenings is included in the service.
  • You will report to the Head of Operations.

Qualifications

You

  • have relevant work experience in work management
  • have experience in shop work, preferably in retail
  • have good interpersonal skills and experience in customer meetings
  • have an interest in aid and second-hand work
  • shares our core values, which are based on three basic principles: the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the spirit of Erik and a Christian view of humanity.

 

It is an advantage if you have

  • experience and/or knowledge and interest in social media marketing
  • experience and/or knowledge of valuation of second-hand goods
  • experience working with clothing as well as with exposure
  • experience working with people with special needs
  • familiarity with digital systems, including the Office suite.

  • a relationship builder who is used to meeting people in different life situations and contexts
  • self-motivated, responsible and enjoys working in a goal-oriented and structured way
  • open, friendly and have a representative manner with a high sense of service
  • solution-oriented and has the ability to work for the whole based on set goals, to develop and drive the business forward
  • physically strong, as heavy lifting is involved.
