Mali

Mali is a country in West Africa facing significant challenges related to internal conflicts and political instability. In recent years, the country has made progress in various areas related to children’s rights.

Despite the progress made, gaps remain in national legislation regarding, among other things, female genital mutilation. Child marriage and harmful child labor are additional factors that limit children’s rights to education and leisure, health, and safety and protection.
