Erikshjälpen was founded by a child who wanted to help other children. That's why our young donors are important to us. Young Donor is our form of giving for young people. Become a Young Donor and help more children have the opportunity to influence their lives and their future.
Our business was founded by a child who wanted to help other children. We know that the dreams of young people are vital. As a Young Donor, you will be part of our work for children's rights and global development, worldwide. You help children go to school, feel good and be safe. Something that is crucial for children and young people to be able to dream big.
How it works
- To become a Young Donor, you need to be under 30 years old. If you are under 18, we need your guardian's signature.
- Your monthly gift is automatically deducted from your account via autogiro. There is no lock-in period, so you can end your giving at any time.
- Three times a year, you will receive a digital letter from us with stories from young people around the world and about the work you support.
- Four times a year, we send you our magazine, where you can read more about our work and the positive changes we achieve thanks to your Support.

Where the money goes
KENYA: Our partner organization Food for the Hungry conducts advocacy work among pastoralists with the aim of getting more children into school and completing their education. Food for the Hungry also works with child rights clubs to strengthen children's self-confidence and increase families' livelihood opportunities through courses and self-help groups.
UGANDA: Our partner organization MADA works in an area dominated by pastoralist nomads where a very small percentage of girls get the chance to start or complete their schooling. MADA works to catch girls who have dropped out and help them back to school. At the same time, advocacy work is carried out among the girls' families to make them understand the importance of schooling.
CAMBODIA: Our partner organization Chab Dai works against child abuse and trafficking. In addition to the preventive work, Chab Dai also helps girls who have been trafficked to return home, where they have access to care and rehabilitation. It also works with the girl's family and people in her home town, as it is common for girls to be ostracized and rejected because of what they have been through. Chab Dai also offers legal Support in court proceedings against the perpetrators.
UGANDA: Our partner organization LACWADO works in fishing communities along Lake Albert. Here, many girls are married off at a young age and are therefore forced to drop out of school early. LACWADO advocates with families and authorities to reduce the number of child marriages and increase the number of children in school.
Frequently asked questions about monthly donations
Once your Autogiro consent has been approved, you will receive a welcome letter from us. It will tell you the amount to be debited and the date from which it will be debited. We will debit the money on the 28th of each month.
Giving a gift is completely voluntary - and you will never be liable for payment. If there's no money in your account when we try to draw your gift, nothing happens that month. We will try again next month. After two months, we'll contact you to ask if you want to continue giving.

To qualify for the GiftTax reduction , you need to meet the following criteria:
- You must donate at least 200 Swedish kronor (SEK) per occasion.
- You must donate at least 2 000 Swedish kronor (SEK) during the year, to us or to other organisations that are approved gift recipients.
- You must be at least 18 years old by December 31 of the same year in which the monetary gift is made.
- You have to pay tax on all your income in Sweden, regardless of which country the income comes from.
- To be eligible for the tax credit, you must also have enough tax to offset the tax credit against.
