Operations coordinator for preliminary study in Vetlanda

Erikshjälpen is looking for an employee to conduct a preliminary study ahead of the potential launch of a new initiative in collaboration with Save the Children, Vetlanda Municipality, and Witalabostäder.

Would you like to make a difference to other people in your work and be part of a team that is working to change the world and make children's dreams come true? Erikshjälpen operates in locations around Sweden and is now investigating the possibility of launching a new initiative in Vetlanda. We are looking for an employee to carry out a preliminary study for the potential launch of a new initiative together with Save the Children, Vetlanda Municipality, and Witalabostäder.

Description of the project

In the fall of 2025, Erikshjälpen, in dialogue with Save the Children and the municipality of Vetlanda, decided to jointly investigate the possibility of starting a new local initiative aimed at children, young people, and families, with a particular focus on the Stenåkra area. Save the Children currently has a local association that operates in the area, and Erikshjälpen has an established second-hand business. This initiative represents a deeper social commitment.

The first step is to conduct a preliminary study during the spring and until the end of June, together with Save the Children, Witalabostäder, and Vetlanda Municipality, to identify existing needs and the solutions that are required. The study will form the basis for an application for an IOP, which we believe and hope will become a joint, long-term initiative in the area.

As an operations coordinator, you will lead the preliminary study together with a representative from Save the Children, and together you will form the local working group. In your role, you will meet with children, young people, parents, and other actors from civil society and the municipality to form an understanding of what needs exist and what activities could be carried out in Vetlanda.

Examples of work tasks:

  • Engage in dialogue and build relationships with the target group of children, young people, and parents in the area.
  • Identify what the target group considers necessary and demands in the place where they live, and based on this, provide suggestions for activities and meeting places.
  • Conduct testing activities that can be evaluated together with the target group.
  • Propose how continued collaboration between the actors should be structured and which other actors may be relevant to collaborate with in the initiative.
  • Formulate proposals for an idea-driven public partnership between Erikshjälpen, Save the Children, Vetlanda Municipality, and Witalabostäder.
  • Establish contacts and build relationships with important networks and partners.
  • Compile a report with the collected data and provide recommendations for continued activities in the area.

Who are we looking for?

You have:

  • Degree in relevant post-secondary education, for example in health, education, social work, or human rights. Or relevant work experience that the employer considers equivalent.
  • experience working to build relationships with children and young people
  • experience of working in collaboration with public authorities and the non-profit sector
  • social and communication skills.

It is advantageous if you:

  • is multilingual
  • has experience in the non-profit sector
  • has experience of social work with people in vulnerable life situations
  • has knowledge of Erikshjälpen and our work in Sweden
  • has experience in children's rights issues and Rights based approach

We offer you

As an employee at Erikshjälpen, you will work in an organization where you and a dedicated team and colleagues around the world work to promote children's rights in Sweden and around the world. With us, you have the opportunity to make a difference—for a future where children's dreams come true.

We are committed to ensuring that our employees have a good work-life balance and offer our employees a wellness allowance of Swedish kronor (SEK) year. As an employee, you are covered by the collective agreement for civil servants in civil society, between FREMIA and Unionen and Akademikerförbunden.

We welcome applicants with different experiences and backgrounds and value diversity in all its forms.

As part of the recruitment process, a criminal record check will be required before the position is offered to the final candidate.
