Erikshjälpen is now looking for a store employee for our store in Kungsbacka! The position is a permanent full-time position. If you want to contribute to realizing children's rights, this is the role for you. We welcome your application!

Erikshjälpen is a child rights organisation a non-profit second-hand business. We work in 16 countries, including Sweden, and we run around 50 stores under Erikshjälpen Second Hand Sweden and Norway. We work according to our vision: A changed world where children's dreams come true. Our mission is to combat poverty and vulnerability by realizing children's rights around the world.

Description of the project

As a store employee, you participate in the work to achieve established surplus targets, social goals, and environmental goals.

Your task is to work with your colleagues to create a clean, well-stocked, and attractive store for our customers. You will work closely with employees, volunteers, and people participating in work trials, internships, or other employment programs through government agencies.

Work tasks

Examples of work tasks:

  • Handling goods for sale, restocking, and displaying goods in the store
  • Work in the preparation department sorting and price-tagging home furnishings.
  • Work at the cash register and handle sales
  • You report to the operations manager.

Qualifications

You:

  • is open, friendly, and has a professional manner with a high level of service awareness.
  • is self-motivated, responsible, and can work independently as well as with others.
  • are flexible in your approach to work and have the ability to deal with different personalities.
  • is structured and enjoys working in a goal-oriented manner.
  • enjoy meeting people, as the work involves close collaboration with employees, volunteers, and people who are participating in work trials, activities, or other employment programs through government agencies.
  • be physically strong, as the work is physically demanding and sometimes involves heavy lifting.
  • have good social skills and experience of customer meetings.
  • Finds it easy to follow routines and working methods.
  • has an interest in aid and secondhand work.
  • shares our core values, which are based on three basic principles: the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the spirit of Erik and a Christian view of humanity.

It is advantageous if you:

  • has experience in retail or second-hand operations.
  • has an interest in and knowledge of home furnishings, both old and modern.
