Do you have clothes, furniture or other items that you no longer use? Donate your things to Erikshjälpen Second Hand and let the money go to our work for children's rights, worldwide.
Erikshjälpen Second Hand accepts furniture, household goods, clothes, books and electronics, toys, sports equipment, home textiles, shoes and other things that are in good condition. When you bring your items to us, we can sell them on. Any surplus from the sale will be donated to our work for children's rights worldwide. You can choose to drop off your items at our donation center or book a free pick-up.
We accept what is whole, clean and in saleable condition. By clearing away what is dirty or broken, you make it easier for us to receive and sell more products and thus generate a larger surplus for our child rights work. Please pack groups of goods separately. For example, clothes in one box and books in another.
There are some goods we cannot sell, either because they are in too poor a condition or because of safety, ethical guidelines or low demand. We reserve the right to refuse these items. Thank you for taking this into account. Gifts that are handed in but cannot be sold incur significant costs for our operations.

We do not accept textiles that are dirty or broken.
Everything we receive is sorted by hand, which takes time and resources. Textiles that are dirty, broken or worn out have to be sent to waste. This costs us money - money that would otherwise have gone to our child rights work. From October 1, 2025, it will be allowed again to throw dirty and torn textiles in household waste.
If you are unable to drop off your gifts directly to our stores, we can collect them from your home. Contact your local store to arrange a free pick-up.
We can pick up pretty much anything in a home (furniture, clothes, gadgets), but just in case, check with your nearest store to see what exceptions they might have.
There is no limit to how much or how little we collect. Rather, what matters is how far we have to drive and whether we collect from several donors in the same area.
There is no explicit limit to the weight of the items you donate, but we care about our employees' working environment and therefore make an assessment after you contact your nearest store. The conditions at the place where we pick up the goods are what matters - is it possible to roll the item, are there stairs, high thresholds or curbs?
No. Collection of gifts to Erikshjälpen Second Hand is free.
Yes, we can. We can collect items donated by estates. We cannot help with cleaning, tipping or other transportation.
Yes. We can refuse a collection for several reasons. In case of illness, the presence of hazardous substances, allergens or traffic constraints, we may decline a pick-up or reschedule when the location is safe.
We would like as much as possible to be packed in boxes or bags when we arrive. You don't have to help carry it yourself, but we won't empty the kitchen cupboards for you.
It's always nice if you are at home when we arrive. If you can't be, we'll have to work out locally what to do, whether we'll need to borrow a boom key or if there's anything else we need to think about to load the gifts efficiently and safely.
