Commenting rules

Erikshjälpen moderates comments on social media so that everyone can feel safe to ask a question or express their opinion, without having to face offensive, abusive or inappropriate content. To ensure a safe environment on our social media, we have developed our own social media commenting rules.

Please keep a good tone, discuss objectively and stick to the topic of the thread. If you want an answer to an off-topic question, we recommend sending a DM.

We do not allow hate speech, threats or derogatory generalizations on our platforms. We delete all comments that violate the law or our commenting rules. We report all threats to the police.

In the process of moderation on Facebook and Instagram, posts that clearly violate the commenting rules are hidden and deleted, and in some cases the user is also blocked.

We hide or delete comments that:

  • contains racism, xenophobia, hatred of minorities or incitement to racial hatred
  • contains threats or personal attacks
  • contains depictions of violence or pornography
  • encourages crime
  • is derogatory, offensive or discriminatory
  • we consider to be spam
  • steers the discussion away from the topic
  • are written to promote products or services
  • infringes another's copyright
  • contains excessive foul language
  • contains privacy-sensitive personal data
  • otherwise violates the Act (1998:112) on responsibility for electronic bulletin boards.
