Burkina Faso is a country in urgent need of Humanitarian Assistance. It faces significant challenges related to internal conflicts and political instability. While significant progress is being made regarding the safety and protection of children in the country, enormous challenges remain.
Because many households live in extreme poverty, the country is plagued by high rates of child labor, sexual violence, child marriage, and unwanted teenage pregnancies.
Erikshjälpen works together with local partners in different areas of Burkina Faso. In all areas, which are also affected by climate change in the form of drought, Erikshjälpen works with support for adaptation and recovery after climate change advocacy. In addition, our focus in the country is on children's right to health, safety and protection, and education.
