Listening Welcome to a concert with the Småland group American Hymns - an evening filled with joy, energy and singing!
American Hymns was formed in 2015 and comes from the deep forests of Småland. They have their musical roots deeply rooted in the American South. Their repertoire consists mainly of old readers' songs, spirituals and gospel hymns. American Hymns concert offers fast-paced music spiced with country, bluegrass, rockabilly and blues.
American Hymns consists of:
Mattias Hultman - bass, harmonica and vocals.
Roger Randow - dobro, pedal steel and vocals.
Magnus Käll - drums and vocals.
Jonas Olsson - guitar, mandolin and vocals.
The concert in Skövde
To mark the 30th anniversary of “Erikshjälpen Second Hand ” Gengåvan, we invite you to join us for a day of festivities at the store. As part of the celebration, there will be a concert featuring the band American Hymns. Throughout the day, you can also enjoy a hot dog barbecue, face painting, and a quiz walk. In addition, Eriks kafé is offering a special anniversary promotion.

Cooperation with Erikshjälpen
The concert is done in collaboration with and for the benefit of the children's rights organization Erikshjälpen. American Hymns wants their concerts to be able to give hope to children and families living in vulnerability.

Welcome to “A Christmas Concert” 2026 with Jon Peterson, FOLK, and Jonas Sandwall, featuring special guests Peter Hallström and Martina Möllås this year.
The “A Christmas Concert” concept was launched 18 years ago by Jon Peterson and his band FOLK, together with Jonas Sandwall. The tradition continues, andthis year, you’re invited to an evening filled with joy, great music, and the wonderful spirit of Christmas.
Guest artists of the year
This year’s guest artists are none other than Peter Hallström and Martina Möllås. Together with Jon Peterson, FOLK, and Jonas Sandwall, they’ll all be on stage throughout the concert, taking turns performing each other’s songs. In addition to the artists’ own songs, the evening will feature several classic and beloved Christmas carols!
A Christmas concert that conveys hope
For the artists, it is important that “A Christmas Concert” conveys hope—not only to the audience but also to children and families living in vulnerable situations. During the evening, you as a guest will have the opportunity to contribute to Erikshjälpen’s work to strengthen children’s rights around the world.
“We probably wouldn’t have been able to keep this up for so many years if it weren’t for a higher purpose—namely, to make the world a better place and give people hope,” says Jon Peterson.
