Shop second hand and support Världens Barn
On Saturday, October 3, Erikshjälpen will participate in Radiohjälpen’s fundraiser for Världens Barn. On that day, Erikshjälpen Second Hand will donate its entire day’s proceeds to the fundraiser. You’re warmly invited to contribute by shopping at one of our secondhand stores!
The Partnership Between Erikshjälpen and Världens Barn
Världens Barn is Radiohjälpen's fundraising for all children's right to safety, health and school. The fundraising is done in collaboration with Swedish Television, Swedish Radio and 13 civil society organizations, including Erikshjälpen.
Since 2000, Erikshjälpen has contributed to the collection for Världens Barn in a unique way, namely by donating an entire day's cash from all second-hand shops.
The common goal
The common goal is to raise money for projects around the world to promote children's rights. Each participating organization has a specific project that is highlighted each year.
Erikshjälpen's Focus This Year—Support and Security Amid an Ongoing War
Following Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine, 2.2 million children are in need of urgent relief aid. Erikshjälpen supports children and families in Ukraine through humanitarian and long-term interventions. Part of this work involves material support and emergency aid, but a large part of the long-term work focuses on providing psychosocial support, for example through art therapy.
Together with local partner organizations, we have established child-friendly family hubs in all the areas where we work. At these hubs, children can participate in various recreational activities while receiving support from psychologists. The hubs are safe places where children can play, be creative, and process their experiences.
