Driver for our store in Linköping

Would you like to help ensure children’s rights are realized by working on the ground, primarily with transportation and receiving donations? Erikshjälpen is now looking for a driver/store associate for our store in Linköping.

Description of the project

As a driver, you are responsible for picking up and delivering gifts and merchandise for the store by visiting gift-givers’ and customers’ homes in person.

Examples of work tasks:

  • To work together with the store's staff to generate as large an influx of donated goods as possible and to sell these items in the store.
  • Organize and carry out the pickup and delivery of goods. We use light trucks for pickups and deliveries. Receiving and logistics are also included to some extent.
  • Have special responsibility for the truck's maintenance and servicing.
  • Waste and Environmental Management.
  • You will be part of the store team, and general store duties are included in the job. Mentoring individuals participating in a work training program is a natural part of your job.
  • Some weekend work is included in the position

Qualifications

You:

  • Has a Class B driver's license
  • Has experience in transportation, logistics, and retail.
  • Has strong interpersonal skills and experience with customer interactions.
  • Finds it easy to follow procedures and work methods.

You are:

  • A relationship builder who is accustomed to interacting with people in various life situations and contexts.
  • Open, friendly and has a representative manner with a high sense of service.
  • Organized and accustomed to planning and organizing.

Preferred

  • Experience in car care and traffic safety.

Erikshjälpen is a child rights organisation a nonprofit secondhand business. Together, we share a common vision: a better where children’s dreams come true.

We work to combat poverty and vulnerability by promoting children's rights in 16 countries. In Sweden, children's rights work is mainly carried out through Erikshjälpen Framtidsverkstad, in close collaboration with our second-hand stores. In total, we operate around 50 Erikshjälpen Second Hand in Sweden and Norway. One of Erikshjälpen Second Hand's missions is to generate as much surplus possible for the children's rights organization Erikshjälpen.
