Description of the project

Our work involves a diverse range of people. Erikshjälpen’s social objectives are your primary focus. In our stores, we provide internships and on-the-job training for approximately 8,000 interns each year. We want—and need—your help to equip and empower people to become self-reliant and self-sufficient.

Our stores also have a large number of volunteers for whom you have a special mission: to promote a positive work environment and attract new recruits. As a labor market coordinator, you’ll work strategically to support managers in matters of social sustainability in their day-to-day work. In this role, you’ll help more people find a meaningful path to employment and strengthen Erikshjälpen’s role as a social actor in the labor market.

For employer-related matters, you will collaborate with other colleagues in the HR department. In your social responsibility role, you will report to the Head of Sustainability.

Work tasks

Examples of work tasks:

• Together with the current labor market coordinator (Eastern and Central Regions), support store managers regarding labor market policy measures and projects (Southern and Western Regions). Travel within the regions is part of the job.
• Maintain contact with the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and other government agencies at both the regional and local levels.
• Train and support store management in onboarding concepts, mentoring, and impact assessment for participants in labor market programs.
• Play a role in developing our strategic work related to our social mission.
• Collaborate with the children's rights organization and on Erikshjälpen's "Framtidsverkstäder" (Future Workshops).
• Work strategically to develop methodologies and support selected stores in retaining and recruiting volunteers.
• Manage and develop staffing issues in collaboration with the HR department.
• Stay informed about employer-related issues with the HR department.
• Identify areas for improvement with the aim of developing Erikshjälpen into an attractive employer.

Qualifications:

You:

• has a college degree in the social sciences, or experience as a manager or leader in the nonprofit sector.
• You have at least 3 years of experience working at, for example, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Public Employment Service, social services, or a nonprofit organization.
• Experience working with labor market policy measures is required.

About the workplace

Erikshjälpen is a child rights organisation a nonprofit secondhand business. Together, we share a common vision: a better where children’s dreams come true.

We work to combat poverty and vulnerability by promoting children's rights in 16 countries.

In Sweden, our work to promote children’s rights is primarily carried out through Erikshjälpen Framtidsverkstad, in close collaboration with our secondhand stores. In total, we operate about 50 Erikshjälpen Second Hand in Sweden and Norway. One of Erikshjälpen Second Hand’s missions is to generate as much surplus possible for the children’s rights organization Erikshjälpen.

Terms and conditions

Type of employment: Permanent employment, with a six-month probationary period.

Location: The position is based at home, and the work area covers the South and West regions. There will be days spent at the office in Huskvarna. Travel is part of the job.
