Supervisor for our store in Örebro

Description of the project

As a supervisor, you’ll be hands-on and lead the day-to-day operations in the store alongside your colleagues to ensure that established profit, social, and environmental goals are met. No two days are alike; as a supervisor, we expect you to be both flexible and enjoy a varied work environment. On many of your workdays, you’ll meet new people who are starting with us.

Work tasks

Examples of work tasks:

• Work with store management and store staff to participate in and lead the day-to-day operations of Erikshjälpen in Örebro.
• Together with the store management, you will contribute to the development of the business and be part of its management team.
• Work with store management to strategically ensure gift inflow.
• Responsible for the store's pick-ups and drop-offs of gifts/goods with Erikshjälpen's truck, and logistics planning.
• Structure the gift reception and be responsible for its stock management.
• You will act as a supervisor for employees, volunteers and people carrying out work trials, activities or other employment through government agencies. This involves induction, Monitoring and daily supervision.
• Jointly responsible for the store during opening hours, will also have store responsibility some weekends.

Qualifications

You have:

• relevant work experience in management.
• knowledge and experience in warehousing and logistics.
• Experience working in a store, preferably in retail.
• Good interpersonal skills and experience with customer interactions.
• able to easily follow procedures and work methods.
• B driving license.

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience in and/or waste management.
• experience with and/or booking transportation.
• experience with and/or knowledge of appraising secondhand goods.
• experience interacting with people in various life situations and contexts, as well as with different functional variations.
• truck license.
• knowledge of the working environment.

About the workplace

Erikshjälpen is a child rights organisation a nonprofit secondhand business. Together, we share a common vision: a better where children’s dreams come true.

We work to combat poverty and vulnerability by promoting children's rights in 16 countries. In Sweden, children's rights work is mainly carried out through Erikshjälpen Framtidsverkstad, in close collaboration with our second-hand stores. In total, we operate around 50 Erikshjälpen Second Hand in Sweden and Norway. One of Erikshjälpen Second Hand's missions is to generate as much surplus possible for the children's rights organization Erikshjälpen.

Erikshjälpen Second hand Örebro is operated in collaboration with a local partner.
