13.20 - Children's (in)equal access to rights
Elisabeth Dahlin, Swedish Ombudsman for Children, on what needs to be done to fulfill children's rights. All children have the right to safe growing conditions and to develop to their full potential. We know that children belonging to particularly vulnerable groups have less access to their rights than other children.

13.50 - A safe childhood for all children - vision or reality?
Frida Lygnegård, child researcher and teacher at Jönköping University, will reflect on the challenge of enabling children to grow and reach their full potential in times of austerity. Frida will also address the extent to which adults allow children's own experiences to influence decisions about their health and living conditions.

14.15 - UN recommendations to Sweden, what does it mean for us?
Åsa Ekman, children's rights consultant and author, concretizes some of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child's recommendations to the Swedish government. Sweden was recently criticized by the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, what does this mean for us who work regionally and locally? The lecture sends questions and areas to work on in your organization.

16.00 - What can it be like for children to grow up with a family member in prison? With footage from the performance "What nobody can know about daddy", the audience will get an idea of what it is like to grow up with a parent in prison. The performance is based on the childhood of actress Aja Roda and is part of a project funded by the Swedish Inheritance Fund and run by the Solrosen organization in Gothenburg.

17.30 - Candle event for Children's Rights, Rådhusparken Jönköping
Welcome to participate in Jönköping municipality's annual candle manifestation for the rights of the child. Before the candle manifestation, children in the municipality will learn about the rights of the child while making a candle lantern for the manifestation.
