Cambodia has legal frameworks and guidelines designed to protect children’s rights. However, the implementation of these measures has often fallen short. Children who have been victims of human trafficking or abuse frequently risk being left without an education or access to support and rehabilitation.
Erikshjälpen’s work in Cambodia focuses primarily on children’s right to education, as well as rehabilitation and support for children who have been victims of human trafficking or abuse. An important part of this work is strengthening the systems designed to protect children and ensuring that children’s rights are upheld in practice. Erikshjälpen works together with both local partners and government agencies in the country to strengthen and protect children.
