Welcome to an atmospheric evening filled with soul, gospel, and jazz. In the concert *Songs of Freedom and Hope*, Samuel Ljungblahd will perform alongside the Bodekull Gospel & Jazz Orchestra.
The repertoire features music by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Donny Hathaway, and PJ Morton, as well as new compositions by Samuel Ljungblahd. Through the music, stories of struggle, resistance, and human dignity come to life.
Samuel Ljungblahd is one of Sweden’s best-known soul and gospel artists. With his powerful voice and commanding stage presence, he has reached a wide audience through concerts, tours, and TV appearances. He has also performed at several nationally acclaimed events, including the royal wedding in 2015.
The orchestra consists of about 30 musicians and is led by Christoffer Wallin. It is known for its unique sound, where the elegance of jazz meets the passion of gospel and the depth of soul. For many years, the orchestra has created concert experiences filled with energy, warmth, and musical power.
The tour is organized by Northevent AB in collaboration with Erikshjälpen. Through these concerts, the artist, orchestra, and organizers aim to make a difference for children and families living in vulnerable situations. Erikshjälpen will be on site during the evening to talk about their work.
