Unit Manager for Erikshjälpen Framtidsverkstad

Erikshjälpen is a child rights organisation a nonprofit secondhand business. As part of our work in Sweden, we run operations in several locations Erikshjälpen Framtidsverkstad. There, Erikshjälpen works together with children, youth, and parents to create opportunities for personal development and social mobilization. This work is carried out in close collaboration with participants, municipal services, the business community, and the rest of civil society.

Description of the project

As a unit manager, you will report to the department head and be part of the centrally employed team at Erikshjälpen’s Program Department in Sweden, with responsibility for local operations and their staff. The role also includes responsibilities related to developing and strengthening the work of Erikshjälpen Framtidsverkstad .

Examples of Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the unit's operations, budget, work environment, and staff.
  • Lead and distribute work within the unit.
  • Work with organisational development quality improvements for local operations.
  • Actively work for long-term Funding the business locally and nationally.
  • Help develop and gain support for Erikshjälpen’s overall strategies and goals within the Sweden Program Department.
  • Establish contacts and build relationships with important networks and partners.
  • Represent Erikshjälpen in local and national forums.
  • Participate in the overall work of the department.
  • Other administrative tasks are also part of the job.
  • Business travel is a regular occurrence. Sometimes this also involves overnight stays.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has relevant post-secondary education in fields such as health, education, social work, human rights, or equivalent work experience that the employer deems relevant.
  • Has experience as a manager.
  • Has experience working with or collaborating with public authorities and the nonprofit sector on social challenges.
  • I have a Class B driver's license.
  • Shares Erikshjälpen's core values.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience in the nonprofit sector.
  • Experience in social work with people in vulnerable life situations.
  • Information about Erikshjälpen and its future workshops.
  • Experience with children's rights issues and Rights based approach.

You are a leader who:

  • Has a proven track record of building trust and motivation among employees, as well as experience in fostering collaboration in small teams; is flexible and a good listener as a leader.
  • You have strong communication skills and are comfortable communicating both verbally and in writing.
  • You are sociable and committed to your work.
  • Is independent and takes the initiative.
  • Driven by the desire to achieve the organization's goals with a high level of quality.
