Controller for the International Programs Department

Work tasks

  • You will be responsible for financial Monitoring, analysis, and auditing of Erikshjälpen’s program activities in Sweden and internationally.
  • You will work alongside another controller and be responsible for reporting to institutional donors, foundations, and funds.
  • You will provide support to both program coordinators and project managers for program activities in Sweden, as well as to international Regional offices.
  • You will assist them in meeting the requirements of donors and funders regarding applications, reporting, audit requirements, and agreements for individual projects or Programme.
  • You will also play an active role in the department’s overall quality assurance processes from a financial perspective.
  • You will be responsible for the further development and implementation of financial Monitoring policies and guidelines, as well as ensuring compliance with them.
  • You will work in our shared systems and contribute to the use and development of our new operational system.

Who are we looking for?

  • You have a college degree in economics or several years of experience in financial accounting and Monitoring we consider equivalent.
  • You have strong analytical skills and can work both independently and as part of a team.
  • You are someone who takes on a lot of responsibility, is organized and methodical, and values achieving goals and maintaining high quality.
  • You have strong communication skills and are able to express yourself clearly both verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
  • You share Erikshjälpen’s Christian values.

The following are considered a plus:

  • If you have experience in international aid work and with institutional donors.

Terms and conditions

Employment Type: This is a full-time, permanent position subject to a 6-month probationary period.

Location: Huskvarna, with the option to work remotely a few days a week.
