A day at school

At 6am, the alarm clock rings at Assumptah and her mom's house. Assumptah gets up and gets ready for school. If she has time, she reads a bit in her book before she has to leave.

At Assumptah's school, they serve breakfast. Breakfast consists of corn porridge, which Assumptah thinks is just fine. During the school day, she has classes in math, reading, English and religion. Assumptah's favorite subject is religion. When it's break time, she likes to play handball with her friends.

School is over at 4 o'clock. Then Assumptah goes home to her mom.

Assumptah's home is just her and her mother. Assumptah has two brothers, but the brothers live with their father in eastern Uganda. The siblings usually see each other on weekends and holidays.

Assumptah's free time

In her spare time, Assumptah often plays with her neighbor Milton and his cousin Timothy. She also likes to go to church where she sings in Sunday school. Performing and singing is something Assumptah loves!
